Mix Tapes: Robert Glasper - 'Bootleg Radio - The Robert Glasper Experiment Live'

When it rains, it pours. For weeks - sometimes months - I go through mix tape droughts, and then all of a sudden I'm surrounded in quality download material that cripples my internet download speed to Stephen Fry tantrum-inducing levels.

Following on from the blinding Kenny Dope Hip Hop & Funk 45s mix from a couple of days back, and the Big K.R.I.T jammy from the day before that, is another beauty from NYC jazz man Robert Glasper (who you might remember from last month's The Next Movement mix).

Senor Glasper's new album, Black Radio, is in stores now, and is well worth a listen by all accounts. But if you're the 'try, try and try again before you buy' type, you'll be reaching for the download buttons for this new Glasper mix, entitled Bootleg Radio - The Robert Glasper Experiment Live.

Not too sure of the details behind this one: all I can tell you is that it's a joint production by Frolab and All The Way Live, and there's a whole lot of live Robert in the mix. Mos Def (Yasiin Bey... I mean Yasiin Bey), Q-Tip, MF Doom, Phonte and Lupe Fiasco all add their two cents worth, too.

If sweet, sweet modern jazz with a hip hop twist is your thing - and seriously, if you're a regular visitor to this site I'm guessing it is - then you need to check this. You can stream Bootleg Radio below or download it here. Get in:
