Mix: DJ Red Alert’s Final 98.7 KISS FM Show

Hip hop radio icon DJ Red Alert has been a feature of New York City's 98.7 KISS FM for eons, breaking a ton of artists and carving out a spot in hip hop history in the process.

But Red's remarkable run on KISS came to a tearful end this past weekend.

Actually, that's not entirely true. The whole of KISS (Red included) came to a tearful end this weekend.

In a sign of the times, the station announced that it will merge with former rival station 107.5 WBLS after Disney bought out the 98.7 frequency.

That didn't stop Red taking to the 1's and 2's he's held down in the Big Apple on and off since 1983 though, sending one last show ringing out throigh the airwaves.
