One of the many joys of moving back to my home country has been reuniting with my DVD collection.
I obviously used to have more disposable income back in the day (or work in a record store that 'sold' DVDs), because the movie crates are sure 'nuff deep.
This weekend's rediscovery was Scratch, the oh-so-good documentary on the rise of the DJ (you can watch it in it's entirety on YouTube now).
Watching the likes of legendary crews like the Beat Junkies and a bunch of other wax magicians work their wonders was a welcome blast from the past.
As it turns out, it's been 20 years since the Beat Junkies joined forces, with the likes of J.Rocc, DJ Babu, Melo D and a whole lot more gracing the decorated crew's ranks.
To commemorate the Junkies' two decades in action, clothing label LRG has put together a nice mini-documentary to give credit where it's due.
Boasting interviews with the Junkies as well as fellow DJ folk like A-Trak and Jazzy Jeff, For The Record is a great watch for anyone with even the most passing interest in DJing. You can check it out below:
