Digging In The Crates: Manuel Bundy (a.k.a. Solephonic) - 'Jazzybizz'

One of the joys of being reunited with my vinyl collection after five-odd years overseas is rediscovering joints that I used to cane on the regular back in the DJ days.

I think it's safe to say that 'Jazzybizz' by Manuel Bundy (a.k.a. Solephonic) falls into that category.

Why? Well, one of the copies of this tune (which I rediscovered earlier this week) looks like it's been doused in Jaegermeister as a start. That's a caned record in my book.

Luckily for me, 'Jazzybizz' is a tune that I'm happy to own multiple copies of. Not to do the old zigga-zigga double up routine, mind you. Trust me, that wouldn't end well.

But some tunes always need a backup in case of Jaeger-induced emergencies. 'Jazzybizz' is one of those tunes, with Bundy creating the sort of warm, low-slung beat that punctuates his legendary, silky smooth DJ sets.

For those that don't have the wax, a quick Google shows that Sugarlicks - the New Zealand label behind the Manuel Bundy presents Solephonic EP which 'Jazzybizz' appeared on - is giving this tune away for free.

No excuses then: I challenge you to listen to 'Jazzybizz' and not get your headnod on. You can stream or download (by clicking on the Soundcloud logo) below:
