New Music: Aaliyah - 'Rock The Boat' (Question Remix)

It's been a fair few years since much-loved songstress Aaliyah fell victim to a tragic fate, losing her life in a Caribbean plane crash back in 2001.

But despite the time that's passed since her passing, the love that she seems to inspire doesn't seem to be waning even one little bit.

Am I in that mega-fan camp? Hmmmm... confession time: I'm not the world's most knowledgeable or devoted Aaliyah-ite, truth be told.

But I do know what I like - and producer/remixer Question's tasteful re-rub of 'Rock The Boat' by the lady in question definitely fits that bill.

This is R&B at it's finest: the drums are banging, the vibes are right, and damn, can Aaliyah sing. The mix sounds slightly off to my untrained ear, but it matters not. This is soulful business.
