Who's the best DJ I've ever seen? It's not even close... that coveted title goes to the mighty DJ Jazzy Jeff (you're trophy is in the mail, kind sir).

Yep, no one tops Jeff when it comes to selection and skills as far as I'm concerned.

So to wake up to a new mix tape from the man himself takes a bit of the edge of this gray Auckland day.

The Block Party Vol. 1 is made up of songs that JJ heard at the block parties he frequented as a young whipper snapper back in West Philadelphia (I'm struggling hard not to bust into the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme tune here).

Diana Ross (in her Supreme days), Mandrill, Herman Kelly and the Ohio Players all get an airing here, and as you'd expect the mix is quality.
