I'm a music addict, have been since age 10 when I started spending every spare dollar I could get my hands on hip hop mainly, but also funk, soul, R&B, assorted elctronica. Black music, basically. What else would a middle-class suburban kid from Wellington, New Zealand be in to?
My love of music has manifested itself in many different ways over the years, be it DJing, music journalism, or clocking up whopping great debts from working in record stores and not knowing when it's time to just say no to another dose of the black crack.
After a stint on the ageing b-boy circuit in London, I'm now back in New Zealand (Auckland to be precise). You can catch me in the seated section of hip hop gigs around town - I'm the guy with the tartan blanket over my knees.
